Results from my Tri May 19th 2013

Post by kcy1998 on Sat May 25, 2013 10:01 am

It was an interesting Sunday. It was cool while waiting for the pool swim and never really warmed up. It was a Sprint Tri swim-300m(328yds), bike-12.1miles(20k) and run-3.1miles(5k). The swim was UGLY 2X, bike was good (according to my ability) and the run was better than expected.
Swim-9:02-I started out too fast and paid for it by the end of the 6th lap. In practice my times indicated a 7:00 swim
T1-5:18-I think I took a little nap due to the swim zapping me of any energy
Bike-49:12-This is a good time for me and better than I expected
T2-2:24-Not optimal and I should be able to improve on it
Run-26:15-Was shooting for a 08:30 m\m and finished with a 08:28 m\m pace
Total time was 01:32:11
Forecasted a 01:35:00-01:40:00
It was a better time than anticipated. Last time Compared to the last time I did the same Tri my time was improved by more than 10 minutes. Due to the bike and run. The bike helped me finish with more energy for the run.
I was not the fastest but it was a new record for me.

Congratulations on the finish and ahead of what you forecasted. Can't get much better than that. A 10 minute improvement on the same course is big. Good for you.

Hey Kevin - well done!!!!

That 10 min time difference is huge!

You're funny too - I'm laughing at your T1 comment - I've never done a tri - but if I knew you could "nap" during the transitions....well then sign me up! lol!

Expectation met and exceeded. A great result!!

Take that one to the 'bank' and keep it up.
