Librarian Conference

Post by Rachel August on Fri May 17, 2013 5:35 pm

Yes, librarian conference!

But the best part of this conference by far was the amazing run I had afterwards. I took the Bay Shore 10K route along the East arm of the Grand Traverse Bay – just beautiful!!!

I ran most of the route (5 miles of it) and although I was tired because I had gotten up at 3:30am, drove four hours, and spent 8 hours inside “listening” to presenters…. zzzzzz…… it was so refreshing and life affirming to get outside on a beautiful crystal clear sunny 62 degree day!!!

Not only that, but the Bay Shore marathon, half and 10K are next weekend and I can’t go – so this little trip really made up for it!

Had a delicious glass of wine afterwards sitting out on the beach at Old Mission State Park Lighthouse!

Talk about making the most of an otherwise less than perfect day... Nice!

Don't mean to be mystical....but isn't that just the way things turn out in a runners world....denied one thing but given another...sounds like a great run.
