Austin Half and Full Marathon - Beautiful day

Post by LMRun on Sun Feb 15, 2015 3:05 pm

It was a beautiful morning in Austin, a great day to run.  20,000 + with women making up 60% of the runners!  There were runners from every state and several foreign countries, 400 military personnel.  Temps in the 50s and overcast sky, light breeze, it sprinkled a wee bit later in the morning, we were home by 12:30.  Our folks did great all around.  Lori and Becky ran the 5K, Marc and Dave ran the 1/2, Paul ran the full marathon.  Marc finished in 1:51, Dave finished in 2:26 (his longest training run was 7 miles Razz ) and Paul ran the full in 4:17.  We are all going out to the Brazilian Steakhouse for dinner to celebrate.

Enjoy the pictures, I'll let Marc add his commentary later.

In case you did not see this, an elite runner crawled across the finish.
