half marathon

Post by Klemp on Wed Oct 22, 2014 7:58 pm

Hi all. I ran a half marathon on 9/14/14. It is a newer event in my area called The Green Cathedral which takes place in Mill Creek park in Youngstown Ohio. My time was 2 hours 17 minutes. The main thing is I made it without an injury or sore knee. I found a great stretch for runners knee that has helped me avoid the dreaded pain on the outside of my left knee. I might enter another local run this Sunday 10/26/14 called the Youngstown Peace Race which has been a staple in this area for a long time.

Nice work, but judging by your Log-a-run logs, I'm expecting you to run faster than 2:17. I'm confident you can knock quite a bit off that pace. Good luck.

thanks twal. it was a tough course for me in my own hometown so I knew there would be many up hills which I have had problems with recently. I ran it at about 180lbs, I feel I could get down about 10-15 more lbs without getting into trouble with body fat %.
