Sports Cardiology

Post by mikenall on Mon Aug 25, 2014 8:25 pm

FYI,
In case anyone is interested in checking it out, the Cleveland Clinic has just announced their Sports Cardiology department:

http://my.clevelandclinic.org/heart/departments-centers/sports-cardiology-center.aspx

I have an appointment there Sept 9th to have my mitral valve checked.  Had I known of this a few weeks ago I probably would have made an appointment with the sports cardiology dept. head instead of whom I am seeing.  I may decide to change the appt.

Wow - that is awesome! I'm thrilled with my team, as both my cardiologist and cardiac rehab guy were competitive athletes. But I'm still an anomaly since there are so few of us out there. Having an entire program dedicated to sport cardiology is fantastic.

This will be a great new resource for us especially since they will focus on all levels of ability... I'm looking forward to hearing more!
