My new favorite word….

Post by Rachel August on Mon May 19, 2014 3:47 pm

STABLE!!!!

(Remember.....we're talking about my heart here.....not my mind)

Yup – that’s what the doc said after reading my echo – stable and normal!!!! My numbers are the same for my valve and graft as they were when they put those things in there – NO leaking – NO narrowing - I’m one happy little BAV gal!!!
:flower:

Oh best part - the doc is now completely cool with me running…..she did say NO competing which I’m completely cool with since competition has never really driven my run! I run by feel baby – and right now I feel pretty freaking good!!!!

You turn in some pretty good times for someone "not competing".

I agree Tom...I am not sure what "not competing" really means here.

Well done Rachael. As has been said... you run mighty fast for someone not being competitive! Rolling Eyes Glad your tests ok.

Thanks everyone for your comments!!! It's SO GREAT to share this news with people who "get it" - and thanks also about the running fast comments as well – that made me feel REALLY good!!! I’m nowhere near as fast as I once was but obviously I‘m super okay with that!

There are some (probably many) who might say that "stable" or "not competing" do not apply to anyone who frequents this site. Congratulations Rachel.

I think that's about as favorable an assessment as a post-surg heart patient ever gets. Great news!

I'm glad you clarified the distinction between your heart and your mind's stability. We are all so proud of you. Keep up the good work.
