Good luck Don

Post by Tom price on Mon Jan 06, 2014 10:23 am

Wishing you good luck at Disney this weekend! The weather looks really good right now....cloudy both days. It might get warm in the second half of the marathon, so plan accordingly! Starting in the dark is a good thing on days that turn warm (predicted hi of 82 on Sunday). Looking forward to a great race report!

Great time of year to leave Minnesota, Don. Not only are you doing a fantastic job with your running and your weight-loss...you also made an very intelligent decision by departing that frigid region when you did.

Thanks Tom & Gary, we leave on Wednesday morning for Disney Smile It won't get above zero until Wed afternoon - It will be about -11F when the plane takes off -  The last time it was above zero was on Saturday so I'll be happy to experience warmer temps but I'm not sure how trained I'll be for running the half on Saturday and full Marathon on Sunday with the temperature could reach +81 !!

Don, in case you check back before you leave, doing the Goofy is a case study for compression socks, three pair. One for the half, one for Saturday post race while going to a park, and one for the Sunday marathon!
