Hair of the Dog Run

Post by Rachel August on Wed Jan 01, 2014 5:56 pm

This was a fun 5K run in Saugatuck – slippery conditions – left my YakTrax in the car (the lot near the start was full – had to park a ways away so by the time I thought I needed them I was already in the registration tent……by then I didn’t feel like walking back to the car to retrieve them)

FUN run!!! Snow and ice covered roads so took it slow at a 10:26 min pace and ran with Cathy and her dog Colt. Temperature was 11 degrees & wind chill was  -3….. snowing with a 12mph wind - so not too bad – LOL!!! Cathy’s black dog was white when we finished!! Afterwards joined some more people for chili and beer – so good to laugh – and get warm!

Great way to start the new year

Happy New Year everyone!

That's too cold for this body. Good for you getting it done.

Sounds like a hoot!...good deal that it was a 5K in those conditions.
